Linking my Domain Name with my Website
When creating a ClientClick website you get a free default domain name alias that can be used to access your website: 'agents.royallepage.ca/yourname'
If you want your business to look more professional and improve your Search Engine Optimization (SEO) you can link a custom domain name to your website.
1. From your ClientClick dashboard click on 'Edit My Website'
2. Go to "General Information" from your "Edit Content" page
3. In General Information, under "Domain Settings" add your custom address.
If you have a domain name that you want to use with your website make sure to call your domain name provider, prior to follow the below steps, and ask them to update your domain's A Record to 206.223.170.231
You must only use alphanumeric characters in this field (alphabet from A to Z and the numbers 0 to 9).
You can access your website just by typing 'royallepage.ca/yourname' (ie 'royallepage.ca/rachelgordon'). It makes it easier for your to share this format with your contacts.
4. Edit the A Records if your domain is registered with a third party domain provider.
If you have registered your domain with a third party domain provider, contact your domain provider and have the A Records updated to the following: 206.223.170.231
Contact your domain provider if you need assistance with changing the A Records.
5. Click the 'Save' button at the top or bottom of the page
